Jewelry Making Supplies: What do You Need?
If you are interested in getting started with jewelry making, then of course you are going to need more than just a single jewelry making tool. There are quite a few different jewelry making supplies that you are going to need in fact, and you want to make sure that you have all the right jewelry making supplies so that your pieces can be as high quality as possible.
Especially if you are looking to set up a business around your jewelry making and have it be successful, you are going to need to make sure that you have all the right jewelry making supplies on hand.
What You Need
So although there are literally hundreds of different jewelry making supplies out there for you to choose from, there are only a few that are considered as being very basic and necessary. So if you are just getting started, these are the supplies that you are going to want to equip yourself with first, and then as you move forward and progress and gain more experience, you will be able to pick up other supplies.
One of the most important supplies that you are going to need for your jewelry making is a pair of wire cutters. You are going to be using these all the time, to cut the amount of wire that you need for a particular piece and it is important that you choose a good quality pair of wire cutters as you will be using them so often and don’t want them to wear out prematurely on you.
You are also going to want to get a couple of other types of pliers, such as flat-nosed pliers and round-nosed pliers. Each of these has their own purpose, and while the flat-nosed pliers are more for gripping and bending wire, the round-nosed pliers are used for creating curls and loops on your wires.
Crimp beads are also very important for jewelry making supplies, and because you are going to require at least a few crimp beads for almost every single jewelry making project imaginable, you are always going to want to have some on hand. It is always good to have a drawer full of crimp beads standing by so that you will not have to get up and leave and get more crimp beads when you are in the middle of any jewelry making project, so always stay stocked up on these.
